John Wiscombe, President
John Wiscombe’s leadership and entrepreneurial vision for Dance Celebrations is based on his own experience and passion for the combination of performance and travel. John is an accomplished pianist, organist, trumpet player, and cellist. He is fluent in German and French, and lived abroad for several years, deepening his appreciation of other cultures, influences and the educational stimulation of hands on experiences.
Dance Celebrations is a division of Music Celebrations International, founded in 1993, following John’s involvement and ownership in several other international study and performance tour companies.
John started in the travel business working as a tour escort or tour manager for large performing groups traveling all over Europe. This acquired knowledge of venues, sites, logistics, performance challenges and details, together with general travel and language experience has served to make MCI the premier concert tour and music festival organizer that it has become. Under his leadership, MCI’s influence has expanded to all international destinations and to the management of many domestic festivals and events featuring selected ensembles in the world’s greatest and most prestigious venues.
John is the proud father of eight children, several of whom work in the business. His business experience includes leadership in several other companies, board member of a bank, consultant and entrepreneur. He is also the President of Faith Journeys, Diversified Events, International Tours of Arizona and their various subsidiaries, including Dance Celebrations.
Under John’s leadership, MCI has become the music festival and concert tour operator of choice for many of America’s finest orchestras, choral ensembles, symphonic and marching bands — including all levels such as community, university, high school, childlrens’ ensembles and professionals.
Luke Wiscombe, Marketing Director
Luke has been assisting Artistic Directors in creating life changing performance tours since 2001.
Luke has organized hundreds of performance tours throughout the U.S., Canada, Asia, Latin America,
and Europe. One of his highlights has been helping to plan and coordinate the Sacramento Ballet's
tour to China in 2007 where they performed in Beijing and Shanghai to large, appreciative audiences.
He has spent considerable time in researching and visiting destinations around the world and is well positioned to assist any director in fulfilling their tour needs.
Carol Navarro, Operations Manager
Carol has planned and operated performance groups for Music Celebrations since 1997. Working directly with artistic directors and developing long-lasting professional relationships and friendships is what brings Carol in to work happy each morning! Carol has operated tours in China, Russia, Africa, Australia, Scandinavia, South America, Europe, Ireland and Great Britain, as well as USA domestic tours.
A university of Missouri graduate in Instrumental Music, Carol taught high school, middle school and elementary school band, as well as community college music history and music theory classes.

Amy Hargreaves, Operations Specialist
Amy Hargreaves has been with Music Celebrations since September 2005 and is part of the operations team. Amy graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Business and Tourism. Amy also has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been teaching dance since 2001. Her experience in dance has helped start the Dance Celebrations division of Music Celebrations International and continues to provide excellence in our dance performance tours. She believes that these types of tours bring memories that last a lifetime.
Ashley Hargreaves, Operations Specialist
Ashley Hargreaves has been with Music Celebrations since August 2008. Prior to her current position on the Operations Team, Ashley resided in Texas where she managed tours for a national dance competition and convention company. Being an Arizona native, Ashley graduated from the University of Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in Dance. Dance has been a passion of Ashley’s since the age of 3, and it is something she still pursues by teaching dance lessons. Her love of the arts is one of the many reasons she enjoys working with Dance Celebrations. She has had the opportunity to observe first-hand the learning that takes place when students are able to travel. Ashley strives to make every tour experience very memorable and something that will be talked about for a lifetime.
